Office Information: WIC is a nutrition program for thousands of Maine families, helping Maine kids to grow up strong and healthy.
WIC food benefits are available based on income guidelines and up-to-date nutrition research.
They serve anyone living in Maine, including migrants working in Maine.
Applicants can be any of the following:
Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or had a baby in the last six months.Infants and children up to the age of five, including adopted and foster children.Fathers may apply for their children.
The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC.
