Office Information:

The WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Nutrition Program promotes the health of women, infants and children by providing healthy food and nutrition education to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers as well as their infants and children under age 5.

Maternal and Family Health Services provides WIC services to over 57,000 participants each month through its network of 32 WIC Nutrition Centers in 16 Pennsylvania counties.

WIC services include:

Nutrition education to ensure healthy eating habits and growth.
Vouchers to help families purchase nutritious foods high in vitamins and minerals.
Breastfeeding education and support.
Immunization record checks.
Iron deficiency screenings.
Dental health counseling.
Farmer's Market vouchers for fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables.
Individual counseling and referrals for other health and human services.

Hours of operation:

Between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday
Between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday
Between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Friday

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

Every time I call its busy, you cant get a hold of them at all.

Every time I try to call the phone is always busy. This is not professional. I’m in the hospital just given birth and trying to contact wic, but the busy line will not open Even After an hour of calling. Please fix this issue.

I went for an appointment on 10/08/2019 and the lady was rude and told me I make to much money. I said how was that possible she kept insisting my income was over the requirements she read my income that I provided as every 2 weeks when the information was for monthly income I provided she wouldn’t look at my paper work and laughter in my face. I have proof that i do not make over the amount required I am a single mom with 2 kids this is the worst experience and no one ever picks up the phone when you call
