Women, Infants, and Children WIC stands for Women, Infants, and Children and is also called the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program.
The Tennessee Department of Health provides the services in about 140 county health department locations and hospital sites throughout the state.
Participants must be residents of Tennessee, meet the gross income guidelines and be determined to be at nutritional or medical risk.
Supplemental food instruments (vouchers) and cash value vouchers are issued to participants and can be used to purchase approved food items at any of the 900+ participating WIC authorized grocery stores and pharmacies.
FOR MORE INFORMATION, CALL YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT OR CALL 1-800-DIAL-WIC (1-800-342-5942)
The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

Thanks to you disapproving my mother from getting help, i was stuck home alone without any food. Thanks.
I am always thankful for any help I get but two things disturb me. one: the nurse practitioner was immature, said i talk to fast by insinuating i needed to calm down when in fact i was completely calm. after telling her this she change it to slow down. I said she needed to speed up her listening skills. they also gave me a silly mental test without my permission and then charge me for it. it is a scary world when complete strangers make a judgement call when they have not been train or it is not their position.
