New Jersey WIC Program Details:

The New Jersey Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program provides nutritious food, breastfeeding support, and health education to eligible pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, and infants and children under five years old.

Here are some key details:

Eligibility:
    Be a resident of New Jersey.
    Meet income guidelines (185% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines).
    Be pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum (up to six months), or have an infant or child under five years old.
    Have a medical or nutritional risk determined by a health professional.

Benefits:
    Vouchers or EBT card to purchase specific WIC-approved healthy foods like milk, cereal, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and infant formula.
    Breastfeeding support, including counseling, peer support groups, and breastfeeding supplies.
    Health education on topics like nutrition, healthy eating, child development, and immunizations.
    Referrals to other health and social services.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Has anyone ever used this service? How was it?

It took a while amp most about a month before I got a response after leaving a voice message that I wanted to sign up . Once they called , the representative and I went over if I qualify Or not and I had to email all of my documents. After this I wanted about 2 more weeks before I received a phone call from the nutritionist and then they sent out my checks in the mail

HIRE MORE PEOPLE! I have been calling for 2 days. Called at least 30 times. This place is the worst.

Beyond unprofessional, this is the second incident that I’ve encountered being a participate along with my children of the Wic program dealing with the rude and nastiness of the agency staff.

Been calling for two weeks straight. Never received my checks in the mail after recertifying over the phone. I have left several messages and no one has returned my calls and its been more than three weeks since I have called and left a message. This is worse than Beth Israel and they are always over crowded. I would rather go there because this is just unbelievable. I will be switching somewhere else. I would not Recommend.

Today i had a app at 10:15 i never got no respond saying that the office is closed so i assumed i have to go person so i took my baby in this cold and when i get there the security says is close but why no one ever called me to tell me, this is so unprofessional now i have no milk for my son and in top of that i call the office there is none to pick up like what am i supposed to do now?

No one answers the phone, leaves voicemail and they don’t call back in a week. Also when they call and your trying to call back automatic voicemail. Very unprofessional

Makes no sense called and was immediately put in hold for 25 munutes. Hung up and called back 4-5 times no answer. Just to schedule an appointment super unprofessional exact reason is rather deal with Beth Isreal WIC office do better Rutgers newark
