The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This lady was EXTREMELY rude for no reason. When I first called I told her that I needed an appointment and immediately without announcing where she was sending me she sent me over to the clinic side assuming I needed a doctors appointment. I had to hang up and call back when I did I told her to Not send me over that I was calling the correct department and that I needed a WIC appointment. She the announcer that she was sending me over to make an appointment for the WIC office. I told her where she sent me WASNT for WIC she began to speaking over me and wouldn’t allow me to finish my sentence just to tell me that I needed to listen to the prompts not knowing I listened twice in confusion to where she sent me. So then I told her when she was finished that I did listen to the prompts and she spoke over me again and said “Ma’am let me just give you the number” and started saying the number. At this point i’m extremely frustrated and you can tell by my tonality So I tell her hold on give me a second I’m not ready yet you’re just saying the number. I then grab a pen and a paper and when I tell her I’m ready she tells me ma’am hold on I have somebody in front of me I’m gonna take care of them first and I told her no give me the number I’m ready. Her response to me after that was “786 hold on ma’am” and puts me on hold without my permission. I called twice after that and I got absolutely no response. This lady has no communication skills no customer service skills no hospitality skills she is absolutely rude and clearly cannot do her job to the best of her ability.
I am Having trouble scheduling an appointment because this location seems to never answer their phone lines.. I have Called two times this morning and once on Friday.. Something needs to be done about the lack of customer service provided via phone calls
