WIC Texas Eligibility:
If you or your children receive Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you automatically meet the income eligibility requirements for WIC. However, even if you do not receive these benefits, you may still be eligible for WIC based on the income guidelines for your household size. For example, for a household of one, the monthly income limit is $2,248, and for a household of six, it's $6,210. Pregnant women can count each unborn baby as an additional household member.
During your WIC appointment, you will meet with a nutrition expert who will help determine your eligibility. This includes measurements, iron level checks, and discussions on health, nutrition, or breastfeeding for each family member applying for WIC.
If you qualify, you’ll receive food benefits tailored to your needs and a WIC card to use at the grocery store, along with nutrition counseling and other support services.
Remember, all WIC services are free for those who are eligible, and fathers of children under the age of 5 are also encouraged to apply and participate in the program.
For more details on applying for WIC, check the Texas WIC website or contact this local WIC office
Required Documents: You will need to bring proof of income, address, and identification for all family members applying for benefits. This can include paycheck stubs, rent receipts, utility bills, and personal identification documents.
The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

I honestly have not renewed my benefits for a year and really needed the help so decided to go back. Well today I was reminded why I didn't go back to renew last year. The process takes so long going from room to room. I have 2 and 3 year old boys that do not stay sitting and constantly running opposite directions. It would be nice if the whole back and forth process would stop it's seriously hard on a parent going alone and with multiple todllers. Why not just get everyone trained to do it all and only have to see one person. I was literally there at 10:45 till 12:20 with my boys it felt like a century and especially hard going back and forth. Please make this process easier and in a shorter time. I was the only one there for the first hour till 1 other lady showed up. I don't understand what took so long. Aside that the ladies are all awesomely nice and knowledgeable.
