WIC Texas Eligibility:
If you or your children receive Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you automatically meet the income eligibility requirements for WIC. However, even if you do not receive these benefits, you may still be eligible for WIC based on the income guidelines for your household size. For example, for a household of one, the monthly income limit is $2,248, and for a household of six, it's $6,210. Pregnant women can count each unborn baby as an additional household member.
During your WIC appointment, you will meet with a nutrition expert who will help determine your eligibility. This includes measurements, iron level checks, and discussions on health, nutrition, or breastfeeding for each family member applying for WIC.
If you qualify, you’ll receive food benefits tailored to your needs and a WIC card to use at the grocery store, along with nutrition counseling and other support services.
Remember, all WIC services are free for those who are eligible, and fathers of children under the age of 5 are also encouraged to apply and participate in the program.
For more details on applying for WIC, check the Texas WIC website or contact this local WIC office
Required Documents: You will need to bring proof of income, address, and identification for all family members applying for benefits. This can include paycheck stubs, rent receipts, utility bills, and personal identification documents.
The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

this a heartless clinic, i got all 3 of my kids (under the age of 4) ready and got them to the wic at los barrios because we were 15 mins late, they said i had to reschedule!!!! what nerves they had like they are not mothers. i was so upset that i switched clinics immediately. Like they perform brain surgery or something!!! if you are latina you will fit right in , as soon as they see other races or ethniticies they become prejudiced!! are they trying to say all the latinas make it to their appts on time?? not to mention, i walked in earlier the same week and they said they dont take walk ins (again with my 3 kids)... i was so upset i switched clinics on my way back from my turned down appointment.Rubbish!!
