WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. This public health program is designed to improve health outcomes and influence lifetime nutrition and health behaviors in targeted, at-risk populations. Nutrition education is the cornerstone of the WIC Program.
Why get WIC for your family?
• Women on WIC eat a healthier diet, have healthier babies and receive early prenatal care.
• Infants born to WIC mothers weigh more and have improved growth and development rates.
• Children on WIC eat foods with more iron and vitamin C, and visit their doctors regularly.
What You Get With WIC

• Infant formula for moms who are not breastfeeding
• Breastfeeding Support
• Online Nutrition Education
• Breast Pumps if eligible
• Referrals to resources (i.e. immunizations, home visiting, social service agencies, etc.)
• An electronic card to buy foods that helps keep people healthy and strong such as:
• milk, cheese, eggs
• dried beans or peas
• fruits and vegetables
• baby food
• fruit juice
• peanut butter
• cereal

How Do I Apply
• Call the Lincoln County Health and Human Services WIC program at 541-265-4163 to make an appointment at the Newport or Lincoln City office.
The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.
