W.I. C. is a nutrition program for pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five years of age. Each month, it provides food which will enrich meals and help children grow. It helps mothers learn more about what to feed their children, how to spend "food" money, and how to get medical care. Breast pumps available. To find out if a women or child is eligible for WIC benefits they must go through a simple health screening process to see if they have or may develop, problems affecting health or growth. She must also live in the county concerned and meet income guidelines. If she qualifies for the program, she must come to the WIC clinic every other month for food vouchers to use at a supermarket near her home. Clients are required to participate in nutrition, cooking classes, or Kids Club.Kids Club is a class that educates young kids on nutritional issues. This class is available in English and Spanish.Nutrition classes and Peer Counseling Breastfeeding classes available in Spanish.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC.
