Office Information:

WIC is a supplement food and nutrition education program for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or up to 6 month post-partum, infants, and children up to age of five.  It is a short-term intervention program designed to encourage positive nutrition and health behaviors in a targeted, high-risk population.

Requirements:

• Meet income guidelines
• Have an Iowa address
• Have a medical or nutritional need

Mission Statement: To safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC.
