Office Information:

The Floyd I. Hudson State Service Center currently offers administrative and client services administered by Delaware Health and Social Services (DHSS)

To be eligible for WIC, you need the following:

Be a pregnant woman or be within 6 months after birth or after pregnancy ended.
Be breastfeeding, up to 1 year old for the child.
Be a postpartum women up to six months after birth of the child.
Infants up to 1 year old.
Children up to their 5th birthday.

Other requirements:

At or below 185% of federal poverty income limit.
Be at nutritional risk.
Through a low birth weight child or poor eating habits.
Must reside in Delaware.

Hours of operation:

Business hours: Between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Wednesday (Closed from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM)
Facility hours: Between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM on Wednesday (Closed from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM)

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

I am calling every week leaving a message and documenting all. This is ridiculous no one has returned my calls. My baby is out of samples that the doctor gave us. No one has picked up the phone ever when Ive called.

I have been calling since discharged to home. I have a newborn son who i have been trying to get signed up for wic program. I have left 4 messages and no one has returned my calls. This is the worst for a new mother. I had to get cans of milk from my sons doctor, my son is in need of formula.

I’ve been calling for DAYS. At this point I’ve been without an EBT card for two months due to my new one being sent to an old address and now I just got the address changed and was told to call a specific number to schedule a replacement EBT card appointment. Well I’ve been calling for DAYS and have been on hold currently for 20 minutes. Not a SINGLE person has spoken to me yet. Does anyone even run this department?

Hello I apparently lost my vaccination card or threw it away because I did not think I needed it any more as proof . My company, wants proof that I got the vaccination. Apparently they do not trust the word of their employees. I need a replacement card to show proof or I will need to wear a mask in work until the virus flattens out. Totally unfair.
