WIC Texas Eligibility:
If you or your children receive Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF, you automatically meet the income eligibility requirements for WIC. However, even if you do not receive these benefits, you may still be eligible for WIC based on the income guidelines for your household size. For example, for a household of one, the monthly income limit is $2,248, and for a household of six, it's $6,210. Pregnant women can count each unborn baby as an additional household member.
During your WIC appointment, you will meet with a nutrition expert who will help determine your eligibility. This includes measurements, iron level checks, and discussions on health, nutrition, or breastfeeding for each family member applying for WIC.
If you qualify, you’ll receive food benefits tailored to your needs and a WIC card to use at the grocery store, along with nutrition counseling and other support services.
Remember, all WIC services are free for those who are eligible, and fathers of children under the age of 5 are also encouraged to apply and participate in the program.
For more details on applying for WIC, check the Texas WIC website or contact this local WIC office
Required Documents: You will need to bring proof of income, address, and identification for all family members applying for benefits. This can include paycheck stubs, rent receipts, utility bills, and personal identification documents.
The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

This is my 2nd time going through this with this office!!! I came in and was set up an appointment for September at 9am by the lady at the front. I get to office at 8:30 and sit in my car until 850 go up to door and they are closed my appointment was scheduled for a day that the office isn’t even open so I had to call sit online for 2030 minutes with a lady who told me no your plumbing to schedule for the following day I bought I’m looking at the paperwork that my payment was scheduled for that day she said well let’s go ahead and just reschedule to you another appointment. My next appointment was scheduled for September 17 when I came in and I showed the lady at the front desk Rosie I believe is her name which is also the same woman who set my appointment for the day that the office was closed she kept the paper but never apologize for having to upset me an appointment on a day that the office was close I was saying that they buy miss Shirley who is very nice and even apologize for the mistake next appointment scheduled for today on November 7 my paperwork says my appointment is at 9 AM I get there at 8:50 but a time I check in and put my number which was 77 I was saying sit there for about an hour and I decide to go and see what was going on I asked Alaine to confirm my appointment time another lady and she tells me it was at 10:30 I’ll show her the paperwork which clearly shows my appointment was scheduled at 9 AM Rosie Rosie says she doesn’t know who wrote that appointment I don’t remember who wrote that one But I thought it was her but yet again no one apologized I have been at that office since 850 my point was scheduled at 10:30 according to their system and 9 o’clock according to my paperwork no one ever say I apologize Rosalind for the second time of a mistake made on your appointments no one ever said sorry no I was empathetic or sympathetic the only person that understood me and listen to me when I was upset was in the back by the name of Vanessa so that Vanessa and Shirley know thank you so much for a leash on some type of empathy and sympathy for the clients that you do have to treat thank you
